Ceco Door is pleased to announce Trio-E is now Hurricane rated. Trio-E delivers superior insulated values and strength. It also provides aesthetic qualities desired in today’s commercial building applications. The Hurricane rated Trio-E achieved a U-Factor of 0.36 in an operable condition (ASTM C1363) using a Ceco Door weather-stripped frame and Pemko thermally broken threshold. The strength of Trio-E also enabled it to be certified for design pressure +/-100 psf and large missile impact (350 lbf). This addresses specific door opening applications, usually in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ).
The Hurricane rated Trio-E is available flush with cylindrical, mortise, and rim exit devices. The +/- 100 psf rating of the Trio-E is certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Warnock Hersey (WH) for compliance with hurricane resistance test standards including: ANSI A250.13, ASTM E330, ASTM E1886, ASTM E1996, TAS-201, TAS-202, TAS-203.
The Ceco Trio-E door can provide significant energy savings on new or retrofit projects while helping to protect the owner’s investment from severe weather. For retrofit situations, we suggest adding the Trio-E door along with Pemko S773 perimeter seals.
Updated pricing can be found in the Ceco Door Price Book, which is available on the secure area of the Ceco Door website. Ceco Door continues to be the leader in providing windstorm solutions designed to help protect property and lives.
